Boarding/Daycare

Now you can get away and relax, knowing that your pet is receiving the care, love, and attention they would receive in their own home. Fully licensed and insured, Byron Center Pet Boarding is located in Byron Center, Michigan, and offers a healthy atmosphere with personal attention to the needs of each pet individually. We offer boarding and daycare services to the Byron Center, Wayland, Caledonia, Dorr, Moline, Wyoming, Jamestown, Kentwood, and other southern Grand Rapids areas.

Byron Center Pet Boarding feels that the most important ingredient to keeping our guests happy and healthy is human contact, and we ensure that all of our guests get lots of loving attention in addition to lots of playtime, if that is what they would like to do.  We have a very natural setting with grass, trees, and when it rains there can be mud.  Our philosophy is that everything is washable, and if your pup gets dirty in the course of play, then they were happy pups who had a great time!  We do not offer grooming services and are unable to provide bathing services simply due to the fact that we have a septic system that cannot handle dirt and hair.  Not all dogs like to get dirty or muddy; it is very individual and depends on how they like to play.

Bedding
Please bring any bedding that might make your pet’s visit more comfortable. But please note that these items may be chewed or soiled during your pet’s stay. We have blankets or fluffy comforters available for boarders that require bedding for extra comfort. We ask that you write your pet’s name on everything.

Toys
Toys are always welcome. We encourage you to bring an item or two from home to help make your pet feel more comfortable while boarding. Once again, toys can be lost or destroyed during your pet’s stay.

Leashes
For your pet’s safety, we ask that you have your pet on a leash or otherwise under your control when entering and exiting our home. We have a lot of wildlife in the area, as well as a dozen or two domestic ducks that roam the property.

Medications
Medications that your pet requires can be continued during their stay with us at no extra charge. Please place medications in air-tight containers (not envelopes). It is also a good idea to provide extra pills. Again, there is no charge for the administration of medications.

Food and Special Diets
We provide high-quality dry and semi-moist foods. However, your pet’s regular food from home packaged in a labeled air-tight container is a good idea to prevent stomach upset. Regarding feeding frequency, we will feed your pet according to your instructions (up to two times daily for adult dogs). If no instructions are given, pets will be fed in the morning and evening. We will not need your pet’s bowls as we have stainless steel bowls that get washed in the dishwasher after each feeding. Glass bowls are prohibited. We are not responsible for any bowls that you bring.

Health Care
We have veterinarians on call 24 hours a day to respond to the emergency health needs of our guests.  To further ensure the safety and welfare of your pet, Byron Center Pet Boarding IS our home.  We treat all of our guests as if they were our own pets.

Byron Center Pet Boarding is a family-run business. Our focus is to provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment for every pet boarded with us. Our aim is to make their stay as pleasant as possible and to provide ample outdoor daily exercise for the dogs.
